It is pretty well documented how much we love Shani's game. Since day one we've been saying she may be the Veranda of Generation 3. I mean, getting us to love her performance in Temodemo no Namida is NOT an easy task by any mean. That being said, lately, she has really been stepping up her performance. Little adjustments were made to get the audience to pay close attention to her, either that is her super mean bullying MC or in songs. And it pays off, BIG TIME!
Then, she was finally given the chance that she used to have back in her days during Pajama Drive, to be the center of team T setlist. This time, we feel like she has an uphill battle because Te wo Tsunaginagara is a crazy-hard setlist filled with naughty borderline perverted songs, cute songs, nonsense songs, and powerful songs
Incredibly, Shani did really well as the center of Te wo Tsunaginagara. Of course, she cannot match Andela who, by far, is more experienced with this setlist center position and sets insanely high standard for anyone filling in for her.
However, Shani give this setlist a different feel. With Andela, some of the songs like Innocence or Mango No. 2 feel a little on the flirtatious side. With Shani, same songs feel more 'jual mahal' hahahah.
With Shani being center, we finally get a chance to see her doing Ame no Pianist (one of our members asked Shani on G+ if she wanted to try Ame no Pianist). As stated above, she owns that song in a different way. Andela's Ame no Pianist is rather Dark and Vicious. With Shani however, that song feels more elegant like a Lady.
Now that we think about it, maybe that is the one quality that Shani possess. We remember back to the second 'Mulai Sekarang Sungguh2' event that she made the usually full of energy Renai Kinshi Jourei become more lady like. She just have that charisma of a lady. Then again she can be extremely cute when she wants to, proven with her Original unit, Wimbledon e Tsurette Itte.
Maybe she is the Veranda of Generation 3. Rather out of the spotlight, but noticed by a lot of people. When her number is called, she's gonna step up and provide what her team needs. Veranda did that during Renai Kinshi Jourei days when no one is available for the Center of Renai Kinshi Jourei song, or when she was called to fill in for Melody back in their Pajama Drive days.
For those who follows team T closely, We suggest you keep a close eye on Shani. Who knows, we may be seeing a legend in the making. Together with Andela and Michelle, Shani will form the big three of Team T.
